Privacy Policy

Fat Loss Ratio (“we,” “us,” the “App”) is a fat-loss tracking app built around a single idea: the number that tracks fat loss is your diet adherence. This policy explains what data the App handles, where it goes, and your choices. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Our approach
Your logs, weights, and plan are stored on your device. We do not operate our own data server. Some features rely on third-party providers (listed below), and your data can optionally be backed up to your own Google account via Android’s built-in backup (Android) or to your private iCloud via CloudKit (iOS), so it restores when you reinstall or switch devices. In both cases the backup lives in your platform account — we cannot read it.

Health & fitness data
If you connect Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iOS), the App reads weight only — read-only, never writing anything back — with your explicit permission, solely to display your weight trend inside the App. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties. You can revoke this access at any time in your device settings, and you can use the App without it by logging weight manually.
Third-party providers
We use the following providers strictly to deliver App features; each processes data on our behalf under their own terms:
- Google Play / Apple App Store & RevenueCat — process and verify purchases.
- Google / Apple sign-in — optional account sign-in.
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
- PostHog — product analytics.
What the App does NOT do
- No ads, no data sale, no advertising SDKs.
- No camera, photo, calorie, or macro logging.
- No biometric or app-lock features.
- No third-party avatar lookups — your profile picture is generated locally from your initials.
Data retention & deletion
Data you create lives on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. You can delete your account and associated data from within the App (You → Delete account). To request deletion of any data held by our providers, email support@fatlossratio.com and we will act on it promptly.
Security
Data transmitted to the providers above is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Children
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the App.
