Do I have to count calories?

No — never in the app. You pick a plan, and each day you report whether you stuck to it: a single daily yes/no, or by ticking off the meals on your plan as you eat them. A calorie deficit is still what drives fat loss, and it's one of the plans you can choose — but the app never makes you log a calorie or weigh a plate of food. It tracks your adherence to the plan, not the plan's arithmetic.

How is this different from MyFitnessPal or a calorie tracker?

Calorie trackers measure your food. Fat Loss Ratio measures your follow-through. Instead of logging everything you eat into a database, you choose a plan once and report whether you held to it. It's a two-second daily answer instead of a food diary — built for the people who quit calorie apps after two weeks.

What is the Sunday Reading?

Once a week the app crosses your diet adherence with your weight trend and gives you one plain verdict: stay the course (it's working), change the plan (you're consistent but stalled), or stick to the plan (the week got away from you). The verdict is free for everyone; Pro adds the specific what-to-do-this-week move and a one-tap plan adjustment.

Which diets does it support?

A calorie deficit (the default, run on portions — no counting), keto / low-carb, intermittent fasting, and Mediterranean. You pick your style and the app sets up a simple daily check for it, pre-filled and fully editable. You can switch anytime; your checklist is remembered per style.

How does the free trial work?

You get 7 days of Pro when you start — no card and no charge today. After that you drop to the free tier automatically unless you choose to subscribe. The core daily ritual — your adherence number, the 7-day ribbon, your checklist, and the weekly verdict — stays free forever.

What does Pro add?

Diet-versus-weight Trends over 7, 28, and 90 days; your Sunday prescription and one-tap weekly plan adjustments; unlimited history; and CSV export of your full record. Pro is $4.99/month or $39.99/year.

Why track adherence instead of my weight?

Day-to-day weight swings on water, salt, carbs, and sleep — things that have nothing to do with fat. So a perfect week can show a gain and a bad week can show a loss, which trains you to distrust the behavior that's working. Your adherence percentage only goes up when you actually show up, so it's the honest daily scoreboard. The app still tracks your weight, as a trend you read against your effort.

Is my data private?

Your logs live on your device, with optional backup to your own iCloud (iOS) or Google account (Android) so they restore when you reinstall or switch phones. There are no ads, no data sale, and no server of ours that holds a copy of your information.

Do I need to connect Apple Health or Health Connect?

No — it's optional. You can log weight manually on a clean dual-wheel, or read it from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). It's read-only; the app never writes anything back, and you can revoke access anytime in your device settings.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Cancel from your store account settings anytime; your Pro features stay active until the end of the current period.
